Since it got published I can share this photo now. I shot this a few months ago at the Zarephath Health Center in New Jersey.
I’m not particularly proud of this photo, but the guy on the left was hardcore. He was a tunnel rat in Vietnam which means that he was the smallest guy in his squad and therefore had to chase Viet Cong through dark, narrow, booby trapped tunnels with a pistol and a flashlight. Whoa.
Now he’s heavily tattooed and extremely friendly.
